Output vs outcome

I love it when the universe sends you just the right thing at just at the right time.

Yesterday we talked about focus (as a way to deliver results) vs. productivity (as a way to be always busy).

Today a friend shared this super-apropos tweet (thanks Oren!).

The video is two minutes (well worth watching) but here’s the money quote for those who are skimming.

100% agree. I also love the “theater” framing. Don’t waste time acting in a “work play” and producing outputs.

Focus and deliver outcomes (a.k.a. results).
